Sulala is a collaborative, verification-first platform for building family and tribe lineage trees, operated under Forfait Representation of Companies, Abu Dhabi, UAE. By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be 18+ and provide your real name. You are responsible for the accuracy of entries you add. You agree to: add only people of your own family or with their family's knowledge; respect privacy settings; never harass, impersonate, or add false lineage claims; and follow the communal attestation rules (you cannot verify entries you added yourself).
Each house (tree) has a keeper who approves join requests, entry takeovers, and disputed changes. Contributors grant the house a licence to display the entries they add within the tree according to privacy settings. Your own entry remains under your control once you claim it.
Plans, coins, and marketplace items are priced in AED and processed by Ziina. Coins are a closed-loop virtual currency: no cash redemption. Subscriptions renew per their stated term; lifetime plans last the life of the platform. Items marked "Coming soon" (including Helix DNA) cannot be purchased. Refunds for faulty services are handled case-by-case under UAE consumer law.
Tournament entry fees, prizes, and sponsor terms are stated per tournament. Points, badges, and referral entries have no cash value and may be adjusted to correct abuse.
We may remove content that violates these terms or law, and suspend accounts for abuse. Disputed lineage entries follow the attestation process; the keeper and muarrif rulings apply within a tree.
The service is provided "as is". Lineage records are community-attested, not official civil records. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to amounts you paid in the last 12 months.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates; disputes go to the courts of Abu Dhabi.
Review by counsel is recommended before large-scale public launch.
